ABOUT IRAMA MUSIC STUDIO

Irama Music Studio is an International Curriculum-based Music Academy in Medan. Founded since 1983 by Mrs. Lindawaty Angkasa, we believe that each child has unique capability and is able to learn and thrive in music. Our mission is to educate children who develop “love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)”.

In alignment with our Christian values and the educational principles as stated by Shinichi Suzuki who stated that “First Character, then ability,” we believe that it is the job of every music teacher to find ways to communicate, nurture, and to bring out the best in each child.

At Irama Music Studio, we want to make sure that every child is happy and eager to learn. Therefore, we have carefully selected and trained our teachers and materials to be as child friendly as possible, while holding firmly to the strong foundations in technic and musicianships and providing ample opportunities of the students to learn, perform, and take an extra challenge to be assessed in examinations and competitions.
